K1tchens4u is owned and managed by Tim Ford with experience of fitting kitchens and
bathrooms stretching back over 30 years since 1987.
Tim’s resume is pretty impressive indeed having served an apprenticeship in carpentry
and joinery from 1984 until 1987 with a small local building company, earning the
City and Guilds craft Carpentry & Joinery.

It was at the end of this apprenticeship in 1987 that Tim launched into his long
career in fitting kitchens for many quality house builders such as Hillreed Homes,
Fairclough Homes, Try Homes and Berkeley Homes to name a few.
Tim fitted kitchens on several of Berkeley homes prestigious developments,being given
the task of fitting the kitchens in the show homes/ apartments.

Tim spent 4 years working in Nova Scotia, Canada as a Home Inspector carrying out
detailed structural surveys on properties for home buyers. The home inspection covered
the following points:- Foundation, structure including roof, major mechanical systems
(heating, electrical,plumbing,cooling systems) wood burning appliances and chimneys.
Tim was a member of CAHPI ( Canadian Association Home & Property Inspectors) and
gained the following qualifications:-
CAHPI Defects Recognition Certificate
WETT Certification (wood energy technical training)
Carson Dunlop Heating Inspection
Carson Dunlop Electrical Inspection
Since returning from Canada Tim has assembled the ultimate team which includes a
registered electrician, registered gas fitter and even a rubbish removal guy which
enables a seamless kitchen installation with minimal disruption.
